I typed out this super long response about how “female genital surgery” is a better term for it and about how it works for them in their culture and you were a woman growing up in that culture, you wouldn’t think it’s mutilation, it would be a rite of passage and blah blah blah critical cultural relativism blah blah blah the most we can do is provide safe and sanitary means for them to do the procedure blah blah blah preach preach preach
